S1-S3 Assemblies today focused on the importance of communication as a key skill for learning, life and work. Recent surveys from the CBI have shown employers value teamwork and communication in the top five skills they look for in future employees.
We all communicate in different ways, many of us learning and speaking in different languages, and some aiding communication through the use of signing with Makaton. Today, Ms Farrimond and helpers from ASN 10 (Bradley, Amelia and Ashley) went through nine simple Makaton signs S1, S2 and S3 students.
There was great participation from all, and all year groups were grateful for the help that Ms Farrimond, Bradley, Amelia and Ashley gave them this morning!
Well done to all!
