The Parent Council at Bucksburn Academy works closely with the school to enhance the career aspirations of our students. As part of our iaspire@bucksburnacademy initiative we organise an annual Careers Fair. This year the event will be held at Bucksburn Academy on Thursday 6th March 2014.
The event is open to all pupils and parents of both Bucksburn and Dyce Academies and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever. We have over 35 exhibitors this year across a wide range of local employers, training providers and further & higher education providers. They will be on hand to give advice, inspiration and careers ideas. The aim of the event is to broaden the horizons of our pupils, showcase the opportunities that are available to them and provide practical information for pupils about different careers options. So whether you are looking for advice on entry qualifications for different careers, wondering what subjects might be useful for different jobs, needing some inspiration about choices after school or want to find out about job and training opportunities that are available this is a must attend event for you. We think it is the biggest event of this nature for pupils across Aberdeen.
It is never too early to begin finding out about options and opportunities so that is why we are keen that the event is open to all whether you are a student in the S1-S3 Junior Phase, an ASN Wing student, beginning the S4-S6 senior phase or leaving school at the end of the session. This event is for you!
We look forward to welcoming our students, parents and carers to this important event. See you there
