On 3rd & 4th June, new S4 learners made their first steps into the Senior Phase by participating in the S4 iAspire Induction Programme.  On Monday 3rd, the RAF, Royal Navy and members of staff at Bucksburn Academy put on a series of tasks and activities under the banner ‘TLC’, standing for Teamwork, Leadership and Communication.  All pupils demonstrated these characteristics throughout the day.

Tuesday 4th saw the S4 group opt in to a series of visits to local businesses and further learning institutions.  We are grateful to OPITO, Petrofac, Scottish Ambulance Service, Grampian Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Sports Village, The Hyperbaric Centre, The University of Aberdeen, Robert Gordon University and Aberdeen College for hosting these visits.  In the afternoon, a presentation ceremony was held, comprising the awarding of certificates, medals and the distribution of S3 Profiles.

Thanks to all partners and staff who committed their time to this Induction Programme, and particularly to Mrs Gray and Mrs Duncan for organising the event.

A successful first year of the Senior Phase begins!
